With the design logic, any number of structural arrangements might be possible. A modular structural system will be required in order of providing a sound structure to an infinite number of layouts. A steel cross braced system lends itself to the preliminary design aesthetic. Having to be modular, scaffolding design is an obvious area to draw methods and systems from. Scaffolding is generally orthogonal however many of the interlocking and slotting modules provide an inherent construction logic which could be adapted to something more complex.
This kind of system could be used in conjunction with tension ties to tighten the whole system once assembled.
The use of pin joints could be an effective way of achieving any planar angle required.
The design of the nodes offers an interesting opportunity to design something both very functional and potentially an aesthetically characterising the concept and the over all look of the construction.
